USA Barcodes/Codigos Venezuela/Codigos Colombia

This is a group of sites that appear to be run by the same people. They operate in North America and South America and have a raft of apparently false claims on their websites that are deliberately misleading. This company should not be trusted at any level.

The website domain names we know of are:

The problems are:

• They represent that their numbers begin with 759 or 770 for Venezuela and Colombia respectively. It is unclear at this stage whether they are providing numbers in this format – But they certainly cannot provide legal barcodes of this type so are either supplying illegal barcodes or are lying to customers in this regard.
• They state that their barcodes ‘Are fully registered with GS1 and can be found in the International Database of such entity’. By this, they very misleadingly mean that their barcodes are registered to another company with GS1 not that they will be registered to your own company.
• They state that their barcodes ‘Are registered in all global databases’ which is quite simply not the case. There are so many databases where this is not the case for, like the GS1 database and many others.
• They state that you can use their barcodes in any store in the entire world. This is obviously not the case either as stores like Walmart in the USA require that barcodes come directly from GS1.
• They state that they have been in business since 2006 and therefore that they are the oldest vendor in Venezuela and Colombia. Their websites were first registered in 2015 – including the US website, so this appears not to be the case.
